Ancient Stannary town of Tavistock
Birthplace of Sir Francis drake, it is now a well known 'foodie' town with thriving pannier and farmers markets.


The Devonport & Plymouth Leats
Built in the 1790's to channel water to Plymouth, the Devonport leat is still in excellent working order as far as burrator reservoir. Both leats can still be seen in Yelverton village centre.


Saltram House (National Trust)
Magnificent Georgian house with opulent Robert Adam interiors, gardens, follies and landscape parkland. Situated alongside the Plym Estuary, it has been the film location for Sense and Sensibility.


Cotehele House (National Trust)
Tudor house with superb collections of textiles, armour and furniture, set in extensive grounds on the banks of the river Tamar.
