ACCESS STATEMENT FOR THE ROSEMONT
The Rosemont is a 6 bedroom family run Bed and Breakfast accommodation situated in the village of Yelverton within the Dartmoor National Park. It is in the centre of the village approximately 100m flat walk from local shops and services. These include Post Office, supermarket, newsagent, pharmacy, doctors surgery, petrol station, public house, café, 2 estate agents and a delicatessen.
The guest accommodation is set on 2 floors - 2 rooms on the 1st floor and 4 rooms on the 2nd floor
Yelverton is easily accessed via good
roads and The Rosemont has a tarmac road to the gateway. Parking is either
directly to the front of the property, in a small parking area at the rear of
the property or along Harrowbeer Lane where parking is unrestricted and
plentiful.
The front path is flat
and gravelled and there are 4 steps up to the front porch and a further step
into the entrance hallway. The entrance porch is lit throughout the night.
Help
with luggage is almost always available.
The hallway is carpeted with lighting throughout the night. There are a total of 19 stairs up to the first floor and a further 17 up to the second floor. All have a sturdy handrail. The whole area is lit throughout the night. All the rooms are directly off the 2 landings.
Bedrooms
All bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms. All rooms except one have flat access into the en-suites, although some rooms have a step up into the shower area. All TVs have remote controls with teletext and subtitles available. All rooms also have a silent mini fridge so that guests may store their own food and drink.
Breakfast Room
There
are enough tables to accommodate all guests at individual tables.
