The
Rosemont is a 4 star, spacious and beautifully maintained, late 19th
century property that was originally occupied by descendants of Sir
Francis Drake.
Standing in a
prominent location in the village of Yelverton and overlooking the
village green The Rosemont
lies within the western edges of Dartmoor National Park in Devon. It
is superbly situated for exploring the outstanding beauty of
Dartmoor and surrounding areas, including the historic city of
Plymouth and the ancient stannary town of Tavistock.
Walkers are
spoilt for choice, almost the entire National Park is open access
land. We have a number of of guided walk books which guests are
welcome to borrow. If you would like to try Nordic walking there is
a local qualified instructor we can put you in touch with.
Yelverton also sits on the Drakes Trail
section of the Sustrans route 27 coast to coast cycle path
and we have a secure garage for bicycle storage.
There are many
National Trust properties nearby, including Buckland Abbey. The
Garden House is only 1.5 miles away and the Eden Project about 1
hour.
This
light and airy house is a
family run business, owned and operated by Chris and Julie,
who took over in 1997. Since then, lots of
additional features and comforts have been added for
guests enjoyment.
We aim to provide the right balance between the comfort and
independence of a quality hotel and the individuality and welcome of
a b&b.
Come
and look around to see why you should
choose to stay at The Rosemont.
